I
i would like to go and see the place they call the "marble isles"
the folks back there i am sure would welcome me with a thousand smile
i got some friends still living there whom i've not seen for quite a while
i would like to share their company once more in the traditional romblon style

i would like to go there in the very early part of january,
cause by then the feast of our dear Sto Nino will just be underway,
i would like to watch the fluvial parade which should be a real sight to see,
with multi-colored bancas sailing round and round the famous romblon bay....

chorus:

it's right there in the heart of the philippine archipelago
that is where we'll find the marbles isles where i really ought to go
there are lots of places there to see and visit them is what i will do
and this time i'd surely be at the lighthouse station in agpanabat too

logbon, alad and nagoso are all part of the marble isles
and so are tablas and sibuyan where i should be passing by
sibale, banton, and simara are places i still have to see
and there's a town in carabao island i also hope to see someday

II

i would like to swim in the crystal clear waters of the marble isles
and since you can see them all around they're sure to catch my eyes
pure white sand on beaches that seem to stretch for miles and miles
where people still enjoy their sunbath under a beautiful blue romblon sky

i would like to climb once again the steps up to fort San Andres,
where we used to play hide and seek when we were still just kids,
where all along the way up there we would find some atis trees
and the fruits of those atis trees were very, very sweet indeed

chorus:

it's right there in the heart of the philippine archipelago
that is where we'll find the marbles isles where i really ought to go
there are lots of places there to see and visit them is what i will do
and this time i'd surely be at the lighthouse station in agpanabat too

logbon, alad and nagoso are all part of the marble isles
and so are tablas and sibuyan where i should be passing by
sibale, banton, and simara are places i still have to see
and there's a town in carabao island i also hope to see someday

III

i would like to walk up old rizal street to the romblon high
where it sits beneath the hills around where it's really very nice
at the back of the admi building was a spot that was full of trees
and it's a place that holds for me a lot of pleasant memories

i would like to sit on the steps of the school's marble grandstand
where we used to stay to sing love songs for everyone around
and it would be nice once again to see by a look from up there
if there are boats from afar that are coming in to dock at the pier

bridge:

i would like to go up the bell tower of St Joseph's cathedral
and recall ghost stories told me there by joe my jolly old pal
(when we were there the time just didn't seem to go on and on)
when we were there the time hardly seemed to move along
and from the top we would catch a glimpse of the town of romblon

chorus:

it's right there in the heart of the philippine archipelago
that is where we'll find the marbles isles where i really ought to go
there are lots of places there to see and visit them is what i will do
and this time i'd surely be at the lighthouse station in agpanabat too

logbon, alad and nagoso are all part of the marble isles
and so are tablas and sibuyan where i should be passing by
sibale, banton, and simara are places i still have to see
and there's a town in carabao island i also hope to see someday

it's right there in the heart of the philippine archipelago
that is where we will find the marble isles where i really ought to go.
